The cabin in Strawberry is located on the South Fork of the Stanislaus River 32 miles east of Sonora, CA on Highway 108 at an elevation of 5250 feet.  The cabin is a 1475 sq. ft. two story built in 1979 and used as a family residence until 1993.  It is a furnished three bedroom, two bath, with linens, towels, pillows, blankets, cable T.V., V.C.R., D.V.D. and has a fully outfitted kitchen with microwave. It is well insulated, passive solar, with a glass door stove fireplace. With plenty of room downstairs you can lounge in front of the fireplace and sleep underneath the stars. The cabin and back deck provide a beautiful view of the river. This view in combination with the sound of the river provides a unique peaceful and restful vacation. 



You can drive to Pinecrest Lake in about five minutes where you can swim, boat, fish, hike, or see a movie. It takes about ten minutes to drive to Dodge Ridge ski resort. Leland Meadows is about 4 miles east on Highway 108 where you can cross country ski or toboggan. Long Barn Lodge, 9 miles west, offers ice-skating in the winter. Viistor information is available at the U.S. Forest Service Summit Ranger station in Pinecrest. Twain Harte is about 15 minutes away and offers quaint restaurants and hometown charm. If you’re looking for some gaming action the Black Oak Casino is located in Tuolumne. Sonora has great restaurants, golf, theatre, antiques and cinema.
